Domestic Student Application

 Step 1:Apply to the Master of Science in Marketing Research Program

(The application can be saved and edited so additional documents can be uploaded. Program code is 6057)

Step 2: Please attach these documents to your application form:

  1. Official transcripts: You can attach unofficial transcripts initially, but official transcripts must be sent directly from the university you attended undergrad or masters courses and received before the application deadline. Official Transcripts can be sent electronically to msmr@broad.msu.edu or by mail to the address below:
    • Transcripts can be mailed to: Michigan State University, Department of Marketing, 632 Bogue Street, East Lansing, MI 48824 Attn: Jessica Richards
  2. Resume
  3. Academic Statement of Purpose: This section can be found in the electronic application or can be attached as a separate document (Please leave personal statement blank)
  4. GMAT or GRE scores:
    • You can have your test scores sent to us electronically or by mail (same mailing address as for transcripts): GMAT test center code is QH0-5P-00. Our GRE test center code is 1465
    • GMAT/GRE Waivers: If you are a working professional with significant and/or relevant experience, please email msmr@broad.msu.edu and attach your resume and transcripts to see if this requirement is waived. If you received a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA for your bachelor’s degree at MSU (or comparable university) the test requirement is automatically waived and you may apply without a test score.
  5. Letter of Recommendation: You may upload a letter of recommendation (or two) from a professional or academic reference if you choose, this is only optional but can strengthen your application. Important Note: The MSU application system says 3 letters are required, please know this is just a general message as many programs use this system and does not apply to our program. You are welcome to apply with or without letters of recommendation to our program.
