Jake Dudek – MSMR Spring 2017

“While I was a student in high school and at Oakland Community College, most of my business curriculum focused on ‘what’ business decisions were made, but never discussed the ‘why’ or the ‘how’. When I was admitted into the Broad College of Business here at MSU, I learned about marketing research and how it provides information to decision makers. My business and marketing coursework fueled my budding passion for marketing research, and once I learned about the MSMR program I knew this was the career choice for me. During my time in the MSMR program, I have had the opportunity to meet, network, and learn from so many professionals and students that would not have been possible in any other program. I am excited for all the opportunities awaiting my classmates and I upon our graduation. “

“My goal when joining the MSMR program at MSU was to develop the skills necessary to transition from my prior career as a lawyer to a market research professional. My experience so far has greatly exceeded my expectations. I love the professors’ focus on developing practical skills that will enable me to provide thoughtful analysis and insights and be successful in the workplace after I graduate. I have also enjoyed learning from the many guest speakers who have explained what client-side and supplier-side employers will expect of me once I join the workforce.”
